Method of Extraction: Cold pressed from the nut of the Karite Tree
Color: Ivory/White
Properties: Semi Solid butter which melts on your skin
Uses: Skin care where due to its high fatty acid content (mainly stearic and oleic acids) it has soothing, softening and moisturising properties. Often used in high class skin care products for its emmoilent properties and ability to aid with skin elasticity. Shea Nut Butter also has mild sun screen effects (UV-B).
Can also be used in hair care where it can revitalize and add shine and luster to dry/damaged hair. here it is reputed to be superior to both Cocoa Butter and Jojoba Oil
